I have a ton of this Riley Blake’s Rocket Age Fabric by October Afternoon. This darling novelty fabric is of a boy making space rockets, robots, and going on space adventures with his Teddy Bear companion. It has a 1950s-1960s vibe. I have used it in many quilts. My family has expanded in the past 10 years. I include “boy” fabrics in girl quilts. I’m picky when I purchase novelty fabrics. I subtly encourage science, math, nature & reading in my children’s quilts. When I’m using the same fabric, I get to use some design skills. I have included links or videos that have tutorials of the blocks. I quilt by check aka I have a long arm quilter quilt my quilts.
DK Quilt Guild: A place for quilters to gather, share ideas, projects, and to make the world a better place, one quilt at a time. Join us and share your thoughts, projects, questions, and tips. Quilters here are at many different levels of skill. Beginners and non-quilters are welcome, too.
We NEED diarists!Your diary can be elaborate and full of photos, a simple story of your own quilting history or that of someone you love, a discussion of a current project or a technique you're learning, new adventures... You could post quilt retreat-day recipes (things like crockpot meals, so food appears without much attention from you)...We could do show and tell or open thread, also, but either way, we need diarists to host. It is EASY if you're willing to take the chance.

This quilt is Illusion Quilt by Missouri Star Quilt Company~ Pattern is here
This quilt’s pattern is X&+ by Zen Chic~ Brigitte Heitland
This quilt’s pattern is Urban Chic by Artichoke Collection.
I used the Flowering Snowball templates for this darling baby girl’s quilt.
I used the Hex N More ruler by Jaybird Quilts, which made the hexagon quilt easier to sew without Y seams.
This sawtooth star block was the first time I used the Astronaut Boy fabric. I submitted it to the NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg’s Starblock Challenge Block for the 2014 International Quilt Festival in Houston.
Link to the completed NASA Starblock Challenge Quilts. There were many blocks submitted and 28 quilts were made and displayed at the Houston Quilt Show. Can you find my block?
Another quick & fast block; free pattern by Pat Sloan called “March Block A Day”.
This is the most recent top that I’ve made. It isn’t pressed nor squared. This is a boy’s quilt. I’m happy with it.
Do you tend to use the same fabric or design? Have you found the Astronaut Boy in the different Quilts?
